What is a venture syndicate?
A syndicate is a group of investors that pools capital to invest into startups. A syndicate is able to write larger checks than individual angel investors, since we invest as group.
What is a creative professional?
We define creative professional as someone who works in an industry like the arts, advertising, architecture, design, marketing, music, film, entertainment, fashion, PR, video games, publishing, and more.
Do I have to invest in every deal?
No. Each investment is voluntary.
Is there a minimum investment?
We try to keep minimum check sizes between $1-2.5k.
Are there requirements to join?
Initially we are only accepting professionals in advertising, marketing, PR, design, and entertainment. All members are legally required to be an accredited investor.
What does this cost?
We charge no management fee. Our investing platform is AngelList, which charges fees for each investment to handle compliance and taxes. Selected Works takes the industry standard 20% carry of any successful investment. We don’t win unless you win.
